Unlike our neighbour who is trying to use the unfortunate incident to score cheap political points over the South Africans. Nigeria's behavior is disgraceful, to say the least. Did we recall our High Commissioner to Nigeria when Shehu Shagari's government suddenly deported over a million Ghanaians from Nigeria in the early 1980s? Shameful hypocrisy! I would encourage Ghana to continue its independent and non aligned posture in matters of foreign policy! I hope those who backed Nigeria's unreasonable position have realized that the Nigerians themselves are beating a hasty retreat from that intransigent line! My caution to all foreigners, particularly Africans who find themselves in other African countries, is that they respect the laws of their host countries. The law is the law and no exceptions will be made because you're a citizen of country A or country B. You have no right to be in anybody's country. If you're unhappy with our laws go back to wherever you came from!

Was any Ghanaian paid any compensation for their losses? At least what's happening in South Africa is purely criminal and not sanctioned by the government of the republic of South Africa! In fact, the government of South Africa has condemned the actions of the criminal minority. Did you see any Nigerians demonstrate in solidarity with us when their government decreed the summary deportation of hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians? In the case of Nigeria, the orgy of violence perpetrated against Ghanaians was a direct consequence of the implementation of an ugly policy of the government of Nigeria! What is happening in SA would never be allowed to happen in Ghana, because Ghanaians are very clear in their minds that, foreigners are not taking any jobs from Ghanaians but rather as a result of the failed leadership and bad governance of this Mahama-led NDC gov't, businesses have left the shores of this country, businesses have collapsed in this country, redundancy and unemployment levels have increased and inched up astronomically as a result of such bad governance.
This is not the doing of foreigners taking any jobs from Ghanaians but rather the cluelessness, the incompetence, the ineptitude, the gargantuan thievery of this Mahama-led NDC gov't.
The Mahama NDC gov't has failed and Ghanaians in every nook and cranny of this country should massively fire this clueless gov't out at the ballot box in 2016, to ensure sanity in our body politic, and restore Ghana on the path of good and effective governance that engenders growth and development.
Clearly Hanna Teeteh because of political expediency is prepared to sacrifice the world acclaimed hospitality of Ghanaians by seeking to subtly incite Ghanaians against foreigners.
That is obnoxious, unacceptable, xenophobic in it's outlook, and Ghanaians of all walks of life reject the failed NDC gov't's subtle attempt at courting hatred for foreigners in this country.

Trade laws; that Trading is the reserve of the Citizens,by Kofi Abrefa Busia ; as a follow-up to his economically beref ideas-Aliens Compliance Order (ACO).
So,harassment of other African traders in the Country,is govt Sanctioned,and Local Council(AMA) implemented to disturb economic activity of mainly neighbouring Africans in the Country.Is Hannah Tetteh , not aware of that !
