Dr, Vanderpuige held an Americal Citizenship in addition to his Ghanaian citizenship and the law permits that.The Law however does not allow Dual Citizen holders to hold certain positions. You cannot be an MP, President of the Republic, Minister of State, etc, etc. Dr Alfred Okoh Vanderpuige only renounced his American Citizenship because he is aspiring to be an MP. Therefore the Law exists.
