What do you say about the gas project in Atuabo? You are obviously praying for Ebola to come to Ghana so that you could blame JDM for it. You have failed. NPP will not win in 2016

Dear Doc.Iam sure you are doing your best in the face of this disgraceful tragedy.BUT and again BUT-The source of the problem lies somewhere else altogether.Have you looked at the Borderline and immediate sorroundings of the UCC,? The pride of Oguaa?
Seek an audience with the landowners of the villages around your UNIVERSITY.Maybe the OMANHEHE himself, the PARAMOUNT CHIEF of Oguaa
may help you. This disgrace of young people dying, Oguaa citizens dying, because of filth also reflects on him.Iam sure he is as concerned as you are and will help you, to confront the LANDOWNERS
around the UNIVERSITY.
A thorough inspection of the sorroundings, beginning from just behind the Hall will reveal a slum
where the filth from the toilets, the bathrooms etc, seeps into the groundwater. There are no spaces left inbetween the human habitation, for air to circulate anywhere, thereby reducing the STENCH etc.Every centimeter of space has been built up.
A number of students rent rooms in these spaces. Its no exageration to point out that even rooms designated as toilets are rented out---So your guess is as good as mine where defecation takes place.
Sanitation in the halls is a matter to be looked into.Dr. Azeez, Iam sure you have done that.Where the students cook, their bathrooms, their toilets-
Please look into all this .Its now a matter of LIFE AND DEATH:Parents are brokenhearted WHY? If you and the Omanhene, and his entourage together with the University AUTHORITIES, have to go and see the REGIONAL MINISTER, please do so.
ITS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH:
Just on the outskirts of the University, behind the row of beautiful Teak trees the university has planted as a border, is a very ugly heap of waste dump. When it rains, the waste water seeps into the groundwater:Dr., you know that ground water has no boundaries, and you know that the pvc pipes get broken, both the ones carrying drinking water and human waste.
This is a matter of LIFE AND DEATH and surely, the Omanhene, the Regionl Minister The citizens of OGUAA and most of all ,the PARENTS and relatives of the dead and the dying will forever be grateful to you if indeed YOU SPEARHEAD THIS RESEARCH INTO THE REAL CAUSES OF THE DYING ,THE FOOD POISONING AND THE CHOLERA DISGRACE THAT IS TAKING PRECIOUS LIVES IN OGUAA.
This has nothing to do with politics.
The breakdown in sanitation has been a slow and ongoing process that none of the authorities ever checked.
THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING IS AS RESPONSIBLE AS THE LANDLORDS:THE WATER AN SEWAGE PEOPLE ARE EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE,NOT TO MENTION THE UNIVERSITY BODY.
THESE CHILDREN UNDER YOUR PROTECTION
ARE BUYING FOOD FROM STALLS THAT NOBODY CONTROLS THE FLIES ZOOMING OVER THE FAMOUS BLACK PLASTIC BAGS, WITH THE SPECIAL CONTENTS, HAVE BEEN CHALLENGING AND FIGHTING OVER THE FOOD WITH THE STUDENTS AND THE CITIZENS OVER DECADES:
THE TIME HAS COME:MOTHERS AND FATHERS,OMANHENE, ELDERS OF OGUAA,
DO SOMETHING.ITS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH.

Maame Oguaa has nothing whatsoever to do with this. There is not a city, town, village or bush community in Ghana where exposed food, cooked or farm fresh, is not sold to consumers surrounded in filth. The real tragedy in Ghana is a voting public that acts in line with tribal and political party leadership instead of their God given common sense. Management and administrators at UCC are not under any mandate from the ministry of education not to have a cafeteria atmosphere and a variety of meals that would attract students and staff alike rather than the choices offered on the outside.
Does the university and government care to know the conditions of the hostels and rental accommodations some students have to endure? You cannot have a banana republic nation with ineffective and corrupt institutions and expect standards to prevail.
Maame you may as well advocate for the abuse that some women encountered at Legon as practicing norms in Accra, the seat of government.

There's never a time appropriate for Nigerians to talk about anything Ghana or Africa period. Nigerians have not learned from past mistakes to be wise but remain as foolish as they come. The federal-Biafra war exposed the intellectual capacity of Nigerians via Ojuku and Gowon your leaders at the time. Did you know that while the federal government spent its money buying arms from nations afar those nations fed starving Biafrans so the national government can use purchased arms to kill the once fed Biafrans? And when oil brought in billions of niara into the coffers your so-called educated bunch took them to foreign banks in luggages even while people died in Nigeria Ghanaians may not know much but do have reserves of common sense to avoid your boko-haram idiots who continue to show the evils of a nation where killing, looting and getting rich by foul means is the only norm.

This latest cholera case at UCC should remind Ghanaians with wisdom, especially those claiming to have lived, studied and earned work experience in civilized, industrialized nations that there are reasons why independent, effective government institutions with jurisdiction work well in civilized nations. In this day and age, local government agencies continue to allow street vendors to cook and sell food to citizens at locations where there's open sewage, open and larvae laden standing gutter water, not to mention house flies and continued use of contaminated water to serve customers. With failed local government inactions comes failed university leadership that has no idea why students prefer to buy from unsafe vendors rather than buy from price gauging ill attempts by cafeteria staff unfit to cook for dogs.
Ghana and educated Ghanaians who are too sorry of an excuse to be considered leaders of tomorrow must hang their heads in shame for reducing potential civilization brought to Ghana by our forefathers to a level of incompetence that is truly Ghana of the NDC/NPP era.

The place is very nasty. One can only notice this when he/she enters where the cooking is done. Authorities have to put measures in place, to periodically check these food vendors on campus.
