Great! the law has cited all it needs to pronounce its judgement and has awarded the plentiff what it deems fit. However, nothing I read in here states G.A. Sarpong & Co did purchase a new E Class Mercedes in the first place. secondly, there is no way one can buy such car for 15,000.00 Euros. Sure the car must be replaced, but with a new one? absolutely NO! (Except the court meant the car be replaced with another one).

The case, which started in 2009 at an Accra Commercial Court, was filed by the law firm after a brand new Mercedes Benz (C-Class 180) it bought from the car dealer in 2007

Silver Star is a very bad company full of criminals and cheats. I sent my Mercedesbenz E 270 CDI saloon car to Ghana in July 2011. When the car was delivered from the Port authorities, it was detected that a thief had broken into the car, removed the brain of the car (its Electronic control unit ECU)and had also stolen the key at the Tema Harbour, unbelievable!!
I had the car towed to the so-called Silver Star, thinking they would behave like the Mercedesbenz branches or franchises I know in Europe.
At "Silver Star" the so-called engineers demanded 3000 cedis (about $3000 at the time) as deposit for admitting the car for their assessment. They claimed that there was so much damage to the car's engine, a car which I had just received from its last inspection from Mercedesbenz Aachen, Germany where everything had been examined and given a clean bill of health including complete replacement of two doors (because of little bits of rust), was deemed defective.
They claimed that the enigine damage was very severe and claimed they had to buy a special programm (chuckle) for my car to solve its problems and first clamed it would cost 6500 Euros to fix the car and later changed it to 8500 Euros with potential to increase to 11000 Euros!!! Imagine!! After I told them that there was no truth in their assertions and that all I needed was a replacement of the ECU, they insisted on their criminal lies. I of course refused their services because I knew what was wrong with the car after looking at images of the car as is was towed to "Silver Star" and decided to let our good old tried and tested versatile mechanics at Kumasi Suame Magazine give it a try. For refusing to let them swindle me, Silver Star kept the $3000 deposit as compensation for keeping the car in their compound, where it was absolutely left in the rain with its opened sun roof only covered with a piece of carboard and stones. The leather seat had been drenched by rain!
I went on the internet in Germany and bought the ECU for 220 Euros and got the car 100% fixed!!for 220 Euros intead oof 11000 Euros. It has been licensed and running perfectly in Ghana as it did previously in Europe.
Silver Star is the worst mercedesbenz franchise and should be boycotted. The engineers are criminals and their work is shoddy. I am going to make sure the whole world avoids them. This is just the beginning as anecdote to this publication today.
They are a bunch of criminal Lebanese with Ghanaian passport taking advantage of Ghanaians (Africans), and using Africans to do the swindling and lying jobs for them.
I am ready to go to any legth to prove it. I have all the documantation and exchanges with Silver Star. I am ready to post it on the internet. Please avoid Silver Star if you do not want them to make a fool of you.
Cheers,

The opened sun roof was covered with cardboard and stones and of course allowed rain in to damage the seats and for that they kept my $3000!!
I am ready to go to any length to prove it

Lemon laws are American state laws that provide a remedy for purchasers of cars and other consumer goods in order to compensate for products that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance. Although there may be defective products of all sorts ranging from small electrical appliances to huge pieces of machinery, and there is even a "puppy lemon law", the term "lemon" is generally thought of as applying to defective vehicles such as automobiles, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles. A lemon law may mandate that if you have a car with a defect then you will automatically get the same car or the money back or a cheaper car OR a lemon law may mandate that if a vehicle produced is found to be defective, the manufacturer must acknowledge the defect and take the appropriate steps to either compensate the owner or provide the purchaser or lessee of the defective vehicle with a suitable replacement.
These vehicles and other goods are called "lemons". The federal lemon law (the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act) was enacted in 1975 and protects citizens of all states. State lemon laws vary by state and may not necessarily cover used or leased cars, and other goods. The rights afforded to consumers by lemon laws may exceed the warranties expressed in purchase contracts. Lemon law is the common nickname for these laws, but each state has different names for the laws and acts.
There are two types of warranties. Express warranties are usually statements in writing such as those provided by the manufacturers in owner's manuals and other written sales or advertising materials, or by a sample or model. Implied warranties are broader in scope and assure consumers that the retail product would meet certain minimum standards of quality whereby the product is fit for use for the purpose intended. In each type the manufacturer assumes the liability and responsibility to correct the defect or to repurchase or replace the product.
Federal lemon laws cover anything mechanical. The federal lemon law also provides that the warranter may be obligated to pay the prevailing party's attorney in a successful lemon law suit, as do most state lemon laws.
