The number of court houses and judges in Ghana are inadequate. The population has ballooned and changes have to be made. The same can be said of the number of police officers and the number of penitentiaries. On a visit to a number of court houses around the country I found the Ghana flag and the Ghana Coat of Arms (Seal) absent. This must change.
Good policing is needed in order for companies to operate effectively. How many detectives has the Ghana police service got and to what extent do they pursue cases? Too many people are being robbed of their toil and sweat. It is important that we increas the police-population ratio.
In many areas especially in the at least 12 Akyem districts which make up more than half of the population of the Eastern Region the police is out of reach but the chiefs have been doing their best in ensuring that law and order prevail in these areas.
Looking at salary levels or the per capita income it is apparent that a sizable proportion of the population cannot afford good legal services. The government must therefore provide some subsidies in this regard lest our republic turn into an oligarchy.
Judges deserve good salaries but what would a judge consider virtuous?? Judges must bear in mind that their salaries cannot be more than the productivity of the general public. They must take the GNI per capita of Ghana into account.
How can judges help increase the GDP of Ghana? Judges must be at work by 8am and leave not before 5pm. Most judges close for the day by 12 pm together with the judicial secretaries. These judges must be moved to other courts after they close by 12 noon.

The Chiefs don't take their own citizen's serious. They have too much power over land that does not belong to them. You make your own rules. The first thing land owners ask for is a drink instead of thinking of what is in the deal for their citizens. That has to stop.

Didn't he steal the factory and the land for his wife? Didn't Jake Obetsebi steal the bungalow assigned to him with the collusion of the corrupt judiciary? Didn't the Supreme Court of Ghana rule that it is perfectly legal fan or any ruling politician to "buy" any state property? What is the guarantee that the Ghana Gas Co will not become some politician's private property someday along with the land?

Ghana Gas should do the right thing by going properly acquiring the lands for the project. The company must also ensure the issues about the environment and emergency response management raised by the elders are addressed.

But there is no "progress" for the people in Obuasi or Nsawam or where the Gas pipes are being built! There is ony progress for the overseas bank accounts of the politicians. In what way has oil prospecting benefited the people of Ghana? First, K4 made a fraudulent deal through the E.O. Group for a cut in exchange for peanuts from Kosmos. Look at the horrendous unemployment in the country that has led rural folks to resort to toxic small-scale mining or galamsey! Govt is no longer creating jobs for the people, as Nkrumah did, only bureaucracies for themselves. And they want to sell every state asset to either themselves, their local or foreign cronies. They even want to sell the Tema Oil Refinery! The point I am making is that nationalization is no longer a tool to benefit the people as Nkrumah practiced but nowadays its just a tool by the politicians to acquire assets using state money and then selling the assets practically as gifts to themselves. This what Kufuor did at Ghana at 50, importing over 200 luxury cars and selling some of them to his ministers at ridiculously low prices.

The governments that have come after Nkrumah have been scamming the people, stealing state-acquired lands and privatizing them at giveaway prices to themselves and their cronies. Imagine the lands stolen by K4 and and the factories and GNTC properties stolen by Rawlings for his wife?! Jake Obetsebi and his state bungalow?! The people who owned the land for these properties have been completely cheated by the corrupt govt politicians of both parties! Someday through the same thievery, somebody in power will decide to "privatize" the Ghana Gas Company and steal the lands for themselves. Stop that possibility, Nananom, by remaining as the owners of the land at all times and simply lease the land!

The Royals of Nzema are the patriots of our times, making sure they are not taken for a ride, making sure their lands will not be privatized for some politician's wife, making sure they don't suffer the same fate as Obuasi which is literally dirt poor and made sick by the mining companies but has received no development or benefit whatsoever.
Don't confuse personalities and policies. Neither NDC nor NPP is Nkrumah! And neither has any of those 2 thieving govts ever followed a single piece of Nkrumah's selfless, all-for-the-people policies! Nationalization under either NDC or NPP is a tool for private profit and national debt NOT progress!!!
