Thanks for your observation Nana! Apart from the welfare that are that are not met according to the labour laws, their operations are completely out of order as security companies. A company named Cobra Security Company does not even go through any screening or background checks but give uniforms to anyone I mean anyone who wants job. Most of are very filthy and look very criminal. National Security together with Interior ministry should screen the companies to know their credibility and also whether they meet the standard. Background checks of owners should also be conducted as some of the police and the military were not honorably released from their arm of service. Security company should not only be a business but to be seen to be helping national security. A word to the wise is enough.

Security personnel guarding banks and sensitive public institutions and installations.
At the minimum, the Interior Ministry should require all employees to undergo annual security clearances done by the CID. And I would recommend higher level of clearances are mandated for certain types of jobs such as being able to wok as a P.I.

Nana Kofi Adu II, should tell us, also, of what his Union is doing to help employees of the union (i.e. the ordinary people who members of his union employ and who do the actual security work) to form a union under the TUC too.
These people, Nana and members of his union cheat so much. They pay them pittance of the huge amounts Nana etc. collect from clients, and do not put many under the SSNIT scheme.

They are evil people - how can you expect security guards to work for a pittance when they are suppose to be protecting people's properties!!!They can charge up to 600/750 a month and then pay the guards 150 - good grief!

The (Bank of Ghana) BOG must ensure that foreign currencies are supplied to only Ghanaian importers of foreign goods. These must not fall into the hands of foreigners operating in Ghana who earn cedis but who would want to transfer funds to their shareholders in dollars.
Ghana has a market economy. Ghana is not an OECD country. Prices of goods and services in Ghana must be determined by demand and supply.
There is supply of certain currencies but absolutely no demand for those currencies. What should be the value of these currencies? These currencies include Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Swiss Franc, Danish krone, Swedish krona, Norwegian Krone. Swift transfers to Ghana in these currencies must be rejected. All EU countries must transfer or bring to Ghana only Euros.
The global oversupply of United States dollars is disturbing.
On the contrary there is demand for chinese Yuan but there is no supply in Ghana.
We must not forget that the role of currency is to facilitate the exchange of goods and services. That is commodity-Money-Commodity (C-M-C)
