The I.G.P is the man responsible 4 recruiting armed robbers and other criminals into the service. An armed robber could just pay between Ghc 2,000 and Ghc 3,000 and would be considered into the service. If we want to know why policemen in recent times are engaged in so many robbery cases, we should ask the I.G.P for explanation because he is behind the malicious recruitment.

Even though he pays insurance, he was taken to police cells, a bribe was extorted from him and advised to settle matters out of court with the other driver because. The police made him to understand that if he does not heed their advice, he would have to pay bribe to the insurance assessor anyway, whereby there is not even an assurance if the insurance people will pay for the cost of damage (that could take years if they may at all)and he will be thrown into jail according to 'the prosecution report' they will provide to the court against him. So intimidating, instead of enabling and empowering people, police in Ghana use their position to demean and disempower people. they are indeed an institution of shame and not protection.

My girl friend in the service told me monies the collect is divided into 3; 1 for the district commander, 1 for the regional commander and 1 for the top BRASS. So if we have average of 50 policemen in a district going on the road; 14 district in a region and 140 district in the country, then you know the money going to the to brass. He is just diverting the public's attention.

Recently a police officer was taking a bribe for a driver of a commuter bus when my son made a comment on the behavior. the vehicle. unfortunately and unknown to my son the passenger sitting besides him happened to be a police man in civil dress. He took the matter up in the vehicle and started assaulting my son. There after he was drugged to the nearby police station and locked up. The following day he was given a prepared statement by the police to sign accusing him of all sorts of things . So either he signed it or he won't see light. before he was released he was made to pay.
now this is a document with his signature on it how could he defend himself.
the police force has incurred so much hatred and curses and one can't tell how it will come out of it
what a shame.
