The provision of Quality Legal Service in Ghana from the standpoints of business and family law have long been made available to Ghanaians from the law Firm of "Agyeman and Co. - Legal Practitioners and Business Consultants" - a firm headed by J.K. Agyemang Esq, LLM;SAG.
The law firm of Agyemang and Co.is located on the 3rd Floor of the Old American House at Tudu, Accra. That office has been there since 1970s and has assisted Students-at-Law from the Law schools in Ghana with their Articling Courses prior to being called to the Bar.
Mr. J.K. Agyemang has trained many prominent lawyers in Ghana including:
1. The Late Professor J.E. Atta Mills;
2. Tsatsu Tsikata;
3. Dr. Kwesi Botwe
as well as a whole lot of great lawyers currently in in Ghana and abroad.
From 1988 to 1982, the law firm of Agyemang and Co. represented my Canadian company's interest in building the first African Used Oil Re-refining Plant in Ghana. Mr. J.K. Agyemang was very swift in providing all the legal information we needed to set up the business in Ghana.
The project, even though it was partially being funded by the Canadian Government through C.I.D.A; it was stalled because of bribery and corruption attitudes exhibited by some senior officials of GNPC. Contributing to the stalling of the project was also effected by some Senior officials of NIB who were expecting kickbacks or "bribery" prior to approving the funding earmarked for the project although private equity had been approved by the African Development Bank that was headquartered in Abidjan at that time. The approved funds were supposed to be released by NIB - a bank that was the regional representative of ADB.
Thus, quality legal service, both corporate and domestic have long been provided and continues to be provided to Ghanaians from the offices of "Agyemang and Co." located at the Old American House [3rd Fl.]; Tudu, Accra. It is NOT NEW in Ghana.
