Kwesi Pratt will definitely not mince words in condemning this illiterate chief for acting as if we are still in pre-colonial Gold Coast where the chiefs were absolute monarchs and some even wielded the power of life and death over their subjects. This chief and his advisors obviously do not seem to know what time it is today.
In any case, this is the time for the lawyer whose letter sparked all this to come to the aid of his client by filing a case in court to vindicate his client's rights else no client should ever go near this lawyer if he chickens out like that spineless NGO which spoke on condition of anonymity.

This illiterate chief must be banished himself. He still lives in the stone age. It's surprising that the DISEC allowed this to happen. It's a very big shame. Why would I be thrown out of my own house; a house I built legally with my own hard earned income under the laws of the republic? This family needs some legal assistance to deal with the ill counseled chief.

Hypocrites...stop complaining.. tradition existed before the British got here. Remember even the British used the traditional rulers to rule Ghana. How can you all be complaining as if this the first to happen in Ghana. How many children have been banished by their own fathers/mothers from their own homes for their behaviors. Do you think that is not human rights violated? Better yet, the witches who are banished everyday for false allegations- are they not human beings? All heads of states: from Nkrumah thru the Afrifas- Ankrahs- Busias, the Acheampongs- the Akuffos- the 2 Rawlings terms- the Limanns- the Kuffours, the Mills- and of course the current administration have lived and will live it- If we as nation do think that the chieftaincy institution is so vital to have a minister, then we as nation have given it their actions our recognition. Until all those of you criticizing this chief can get government to shut down the witch camps across the nation, and get all past governments to admit their complicity in these "so called abuses" you are criticizing, and unless parents who banish their children can be sanctioned by the laws of the land, I tell you, you have no case against this chief. If you invoke "modernity" to make your case: because we live in modern times, this should not be happening, then I challenge you with this question: would allow gays to marry in Ghana because gay life style is now becoming a norm in modern societies like the USA and Europe? I oppose gay unions and relations, and I bet, many of you reading this do oppose it too. If your position on gay and modern life is like mind, then you are an unexamined mind who is criticizing this chief. I am for human rights for all or human rights for none. You cannot be in the middle. WHOEVER IS IN THE MIDDLE IS HYPOCRITE
