It is time Ghana education move into the 21st century.This is complete child abuse and Ghana Education service should be ashamed of themselves that they allow these kind of babarity to go on in Ghanaian schools.As a teacher, it makes me feel ashamed of these kind of incidents. Why are Ghanaian teachers not trained in behaviour management or have classroom and school behaviour policy?Where is the professional ethics in schools and do these teachers not sign to these ethics?
Sack these teachers because they have brought shame on the teaching profession. A child leaving the classroom without permission may be an offence because of the safety of that child, but the teacher should listen to the explanation and try and reason with the child.Teachers should use common sense and their professional skills not brutality to nurture children and young adults under their care. I urge the Ministry of Education to sack these teachers and not just apologise,professional standard must be maintained.
