A woman's husband died. He had $20,000 to his name. After paying all of the funeral expenses, she told her closest friend that there was no money left.
The friend asked, "How can that be? You told me he had $20,000 a few days before he died. How could you be broke?"
The widow replied, "Well, the funeral cost me $6,500. And, of course, I had to make the obligatory donation to the church, pay the organist and all. That was $500, and I spent another $500 for the wake, the food and drinks, you know. The rest went for the memorial stone."
The friend asked, "$12,500 for the memorial stone? My God, how big was it?"
The widow replied, "Three carats.
funeral is now big business in Ghana.
Some years ago funeral was not a big business because few Ghanaian's die .
The polluted water bodies have killed a lot of Ghanaian's.
Our Government have contributed a lot to the death of many Ghanaian's.
Nowadays you will see a lot of funeral every weekend because our people keep dying without protection.

Organise yourselves to fight against illegal mining. The government can not help his own family how can he help you? Do not depend on Mahama. You have to protect your lands and rivers

WHY DO YOU LOCAL RULERS ALWYS ECPECT GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS? MAMAPONG IS RICH ENOUGH TO PROVIDE BORE HOLES FOR WATE SUPPLY. THE GOVERNMENT HAS SO MUCH ON ITS HEAD. JUST LET YOUR COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS THEIR OWN DRINKING WATER. GHANAIANS FROM THE MAMPONG AREA N THE DIASPORA, WILL BE VERY MUCH WILLING TO SUPPORT AN INITIATIVE.
WHAT LOCAL S
CHIEFS HAVE TO LEARN, IS HOW TO RELY ON THEMSELVES THAN THE GOVERNMENT.

the NPP did a lot to stop illegal mining. A government task force was set up and did a lot of successful evictions. Some of the illegal miners were encourage to form co-operative and some sent to China and other places to study the system in operation in those countries. NPP evictions done by the NPP was used heavily against the Party in the 2008 elections by the NDC. the NPP lost seats like the Prestea/Huni-Valley, Akropong and few others as a result. Prof Mills of blessed memory promised to legalise galamsey, the result is what we see today. Rivers like Pra, Ankobra, Bonsa and many other are no more portable for the village folks.

Did you Asantehene that? Asantehene is looking on for these Chinese to polute Asante land as he has no mouth to speak. Nana Dufie, please take a lead in speaking against Chinese encroachment on our agricultural lands. Our central government is useless. Mahama will allow these atheist Chinese to destroy our lands. Nana Dufie, please continue your harsh criticsm. You have a whole nation behind you. Now, Ghana needs bold and wise leaders like you.

Judgementally, I find Nana Dufie's speech to be more appealing than that of the Asantehene when he went to Accra last week. Mark that!
