Ghana Police should also train their drivers on defensive driving. They sometimes drive as if they are above accidents simply because they were uniforms. Three of them lost their lives last week on their way to Kwahu due to a tyre burst while overspending.

You are right. But, better roads alone will not solve the problem. Discipline is very key. When the roads are very good, drivers tend to overspeed and manoeuvre recklessly.

Sorry for their situation. However every Ghanaian is aware that the most indiscipline group of peis the ghana police and followed by the ghana armed forces. The most reckless people on our roads are these two groups of forces. In the comments someone is talking about good roads, well, I'm very sure that this person doesn't know that the road they had the accident is a good one. They saw a free road and speeding anyhow. They need further disciplinary training.

Whats going on in the police service? Is it a matter of bad driving or the evil ways they treat people who are innocent is being paid back by karma?

It is becoming too much, if the police can arrest drivers of overspending and reckless driving ,why can't they also be cautious on the roads. They have to show good examples.

The Nandom=Hamile (vice versa) road is not any good road with bitumen surface to cause the accident described in the report. It's all laterite with a lot of maneuvering and swinging from side to side when driving on it. It's a very bad road with a likely speed limit of 60km/hr so why the police car was reported to be badly damaged?

SPEED KILLS...WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN THAT..?..AN INEXPERIENCED CAN NOT HANDLE SPEED. POLICE AREN'T TRAINED FOR THE SPEEDS THEY DRIVE. ONLY RACE CAR DRIVERS HAVE ENOUGH SKILL TO DRIVE FAST. THERE ARE MANY WITH CONTROL OF STEERING WHEELS IN GHANA THAT SHOULD ONLY BE PASSENGERS. YOU DRIVE AT A SAFE ENOUGH SPEED SO THAT IF ANYTHING SURPRISES YOU WHILE DRIVING YOU HAVE A FEW SECONDS TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT OR KILL SOMEONE ELSE. FOOLS IN GHANA WILL EVEN SPEED IN A CURVE OR UP A HILL WHERE THEY CAN NOT EVEN SEE WHATS A HEAD...BEHIND A WHEEL THEY PLAY RUSSIAN ROULET WITH EVERYBODY ELSE'S LIVES.
