Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. That's why we need a parliament that can act in a bipartisan way to check the excesses of a sitting president. Look at how the US congress is handling the sacking of the then CIA director by Trump. Parliamentarians should learn from other jurisdictions. A public office like that of the national security adviser should not be toyed with. Though the brigadier was appointed be the president, he should have stated his frustrations publicly for parliament to investigate it. How do you appoint someone to work for Ghanaians then you, the president belittle him or her? This is a common trend in Ghana. If we do not change our ways, we will see little or no development. A president should not kill institutions but he should rather maintain or build them. He should not waste our limited resources. This is when parliament comes in to check him. Our challenge is how to build bipartisanship in parliament our critical issues. The only moment parliamentarians can ensure bipartisanship is when matters relating to their ex-gratia, salaries and conditions of service are being discussed by them. Look at how they discussed the district assembly common fund issue when the new administrator was being vetted. Parliament, wake up! Help build state institutions. Mother Ghana is crying.
