As vice president in the mid 1990's, Atta Mills failed to grant audience to a group of American farmers who came to the country to arrange to purchase the komenda/asutsuare sugar factories, make their own farms to feed their own sugar factories.Reason is left to historians and not to denigrate the dead.It would later be sold to a company that only removed the iron bars and roofing sheets for resale as scrap metal!
Until the NDC entered into this bogus arrangement to re-build the factories. What is government's business in a sugar factory, something private enterprises do better at no cost at all to government?
We should re-visit the mistakes of the past and never to repeat them........Again!
Government's responsibility is to secure lands for farmers and hands off!
