60 years of self rule with no achievement. Just untold hardship we brought to ourselves. We better start thinking of how to bring back the colonial masters.

Do we really have to celebrate? Is this a priority? How about paying doctors, nurses, teachers and all public servants who are owed salaries and arrears?
Does NPP have to so early repeat its shameful orgy of looting, as occurred at Ghana@50?
How about no celebration but instead a day of prayer, voluntary and charitable work? How about saving the nation money and instead asking citizens to perform patriotic acts such as voluntary neighbourhood cleaning, donating blood at hospitals, presenting food to orphanages etc?

Isn't it about time we Ghanaians give it a serious thought about celebrating this independence anniversary year after year squandering millions of money which can be chanelled usefully to benefit an ailing country with so many problems to tackle?
Just what progress or achievement has the country made to be wasting limited resources on these celebrations?
Are we celebrating bad governance exhibited by successive corrupt, vile, heartless, inept, arrogance, visionless who parade themselves as politicians or failure which have brought nothing but woes to the citizenry?
There is nothing to be proud of after sixty years of so-called independence so let's get real and serious to do something useful to transform the fortunes of this ailing country.

A timely warning to the NPP admin.
The profligacy of the Kufuor gov't, borrowing over $70 million for Ghana@50, ordering textiles from China when these could have been printed locally and provided work for our youth at our textile factories, squandering the borrowed money on frivolities with no proper legacy to show except for poorly-constructed Jubilee parks, the theft of millions by Kwame Pianim and Wereko-Brobbey among others, is a testament to corruption and bad governance.
It is a strange irony of history that an NPP admin is once again celebrating a milestone anniversary. Have the lessons of Ghana@50 been learnt? We shall see.

What are we proud of to celebrate , when after 60years we still have hospitals lacking equipment , patients sleeping on floors. No medicines, government can't afford to pay doctors and works across our country. And we put priority on setting a committee to plan 60yrs of nothing. Just to offer the few greedy politicians make more money by celebrating JB DANKWAH , and many more so called leaders.. most times we forget that ghana had other leaders whom are hardly mentioned in society. Why don't we use the budget allocated for this secondary celebration to improve our hospitals with beds or equipment. Why can't our leadership follow Tanzania president magufuli example of postponing independence celebration and using the money to equip hospitals where many sleep on floors plus 4 kids sharing a hospital bed.we have same in ghana and much worse but seems our presidents prourity is to honour citizens for zero hard work.kufupr made gold chains ,mahama , Rawlings and all did same . Are we still not seeing what's important to tackle. Ghana ooo ghana.
