I don't think this NOSEsense guy truly understands the issue. The problems plaguing our education sector has got nothing to do with WAEC. Yes, WAEC may be lax in safeguarding question papers and all that but should that alone merit a setting up of a parallel organisation to compete with WAEC in examining students performance in our schools?
I feel like this guy was just blowing steam through his huge nostrils. I doubt if he knows what he is talking about. It's the standards in our schools that are failing Ghana and that is where the focus must be. Of what use will it be if we bring in competitors to compete with WAEC and yet the students presented for examination are not up to the task? So NOSEnse, go back to the drawing board and look at the issues all over gain. For now, I'll give you an F.
Do we need multiple examining bodies for our schools to better prepare students to be examined? Put it this way; does Ghana need multiple "Medical Councils" for our medical schools to produce the best of doctors?
We can only have one uniform and competent examining body doing what WAEC is doing and that calls for strengthening the organisation and making sure that wherever they have fallen short, we prop them up.
Is it WAEC's fault that some students have As and Bs and others have Es and Fs? Blame your schools, not WAEC!

This minister is stupid. Even you birng in another examining body, then corruption will start and the stadnards will fall. See how many useless graduates we are producing now? Because we have many mashroom universities.

I agree with him, I also listened to his part of the vetting process when he said education in Ghana is now about passing exams only but not learning and that is very true so many students do chew and pour to pass without learning what ought to be learnt for purpose. We need a complete overhaul of the education system in Ghana bam.

I just can't figure the strategic reasoning behind your beliefs or propositions. Yes WAEC has problems that needs fixing but to say they need competitors just beats my imagination. We need multiple examining bodies examining the same students? How does that work?

I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD NOT BE ONLY WAVE TO BE AN EXAMINING BODY. THIS COULD EVEN CREATE JOBS. MOREOVER IN THE UK FOR EXAMPLE THERE IS AN INDEPENDENT BODY WHICH GRADES THE EXAMINATIONS. WHY SHOULD WAEC (A NON GOVERNMENT BODY) SPONGE ON GES TO GRADE OUR EXAMS? THE RESULT IS THAT IT EVEN TAKES LONG FOR RESULTS TO BE RELEASED SINCE WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR VAVATION TO ENABLE TEACHERS TO HAVE TIME TO MARK EXAMS. THERE SHOULD BE AN INDEPENDENT BODY TO CONTRACTED BY WAEC AND ANY FUTURE EXAMINATION BOFY TO GRADE OUR EXAMS. THAT ALSO COULD SOLBE SOME OF OUR GRADIATE UNEMPLOYMENT CHALLENGES.

ALSO THERE SHOULD BE AN INDEPENDENT COMPANY (BODY) CONTRACTED BY WAEC TO GRADE THE EXAMS; FOR WHY SHOULD WAEC (A NON-GOVERNMENT BODY) SPONGE ON GES TEACHERS TO GRADE THEIR EXAMS? THAT'S WHY IT TAKES LONG TO RELEASE RESULTS. WE HAVE TO WAIT TILL VACATION BEFORE TEACHERS COULD BE FREE TO GO FOR MAKING. IN THE UK, FOR EXAMPLE, AN INDEPENDENT BODY GRADES THE GCE. CREATING THAT INDEPENDENT BODY COULD ALSO SOLVE SOME OF OUR GRADUATE UNEMPLOYMENT CHALLENGES.
