Well, we may call it greed or use any derogatory term but what all concerned people should know is that in politics, we have no permanent "enemies." Even Japan is an ally of the USA. Who thought this can be possible after what happened at the Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima and Nagasaki? If we look at the present crop of NDC and NPP members, there are some intermarriages between some of their families. They attend funerals together, shake hands and hug each other when they meet, especially during durbars, and even at church. They only try to outsmart each other and to maintain power. There is hardly bad blood between them. It is only FOOLS and IDIOTS who blindly follow them and create mayhem at places. Have we ever heard Kuffour and Mahama fighting? When Kuffour was the president, was Kofi Adams not in the corridors of NPP looking for contracts? That is how it happens everywhere,except Ghana where some little brains think that political party members should see themselves as enemies.
It is very common to find a husband and wife belonging to different parties in some parts of the world. The writer of the above article could have done us a service by interviewing Papa Jerry why he supports the wife. Judged by the way he criticizes his own party, is it not true that as the "founder" of the party, he is not happy with the way the party is being run. Konadu played a crucial role towards the success of NDC formation and running. I remember how she helped Ghanaian women to be empowered even during the revolutionary period. At that time, she was given accolades like "OUR MOTHER, OUR QUEEN, RULER OF WOMEN, OUR PRESIDENT'S WIFE." Now, the same party members some of who were toddlers call Konadu and Papa Jerry bad names. That is a shame. The party could have smoked the peace pipe when Konadu felt slighted and wanted to break away. Unfortunately there are some people in the party(Not Prez Mahama) who had chairmanship,Presidential secretaryship and other ambitions who saw Konadu as a threat and decided to work against her.
Every family cannot have all members belonging to the same political parties using hook or crook. That will make us sub-human. I see nothing wrong the Rawlingses have done if at this age, they decide to be NDC, NDP, NPP, CPP, PPP or apolitical. Let us stop that jungle politics.

When NDC was being founded, Papa Jerry was the chairman of PNDC. He had not resigned then so why was he the founder of the party. Some members of NDC supported the mooting of the idea of making Papa Jerry "The Founder of the party" because at that time Papa J and Konadu were extremely important to the political and economic success of every NDC person rested on them. Thus most NDC people supported the Founder idea. A single person CANNOT be the FOUNDER of a party but a Founding Member or President of The Founding Members. For that reason, I still do not support Nkrumah as the Founder of of CPP/Ghana. Nkrumah, to me can be a Founding Member or Chairman of the Founding Members.
Konadu was funded by PNDC to form the 31st December Women's Movement. Can't you imagine the role Konadu played towards the NDC of Rawlings' time. She should not be carried to the gutters by members of the party who now call her bad names. Give the "Devil" her due. There are some who are masquerading as NDC members just for their stomachs. Corney, some of these toddlers in government don't even know how NDC was formed but want to occupy big political positions to steal and loot. Sometimes, Jerry and Konadu have to be understood. Konadu sees herself as crucial in NDC's formation. I believe they can be reconciled with the party if people like Asiedu Nketia, Anyidaho, Kwettey and others will give them the desired respect and encourage others to do same. In the present political terrain, NDC gurus should not deceive themselves that everything is cool chop for November.

Mahama has condoned the fraud by failing to send Attivor to face the law. Do you expect Rawlings to still support his party which has been hookwinked by Mahama and his cronies? As the saying goes, he whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad. This is the light in which I see the raging confusions in both NPP and the Rawlings family.
How else can it be explained that, the nearer the Nov 7 election approaches, when a more united front is required for any serious party to win power, the more the NPP rather descends into an abyss in that, their presidential candidate and his close associates find it impossible to work with their elected officials and many other key members of their own party? The NPP led by Akufo Addo is attracting the wrsth of God by lying that they were cheated in the 2012 election when they knew in their hearts that they fairly lost it.
Similarly, how can one explain why the Rawlingses are torn between the NDC, the NPP and the NDP? - what ''big'' goal are they aiming to achieve? Here is Dr Zanetor Rawlings; on her campaign posters we read "vote Zanetor, vote Mahama of the NDC"; then her mum, Konadu goes about asking voters not vote for President Mahama but vote for her or Nana Akufo Addo as president; then Papa Rawlings goes about asking the same voters to vote for Dr Zanetor of the NDC but reject President Mahama and vote for either her wife or Akufo Addo as president of Ghana. If the NDC which was founded by Rawlings has become such bad, why would Rawlings' beloved daughter Dr Zanetor stand on its ticket? And if the NDP of Mrs Rawlings were such credible to the Rawlingses themselves, why would their daughter not stand on its ticket? And if the NPP leader, Akufo Addo is that credible to Rawlings and her wife why not join them but rather form another party to campaign for them?
Clearly, the Rawlingses are being afflicted by an overbearing confusion whose origin is from God Himself just as what is happening in the NPP. The end state of this confusion is the complete destruction of Rawlings' legacy.
