It is important that the plan gains wide acceptance, so that it is adhered to by all and sundry. THe political parties must sign up to it and commit to implement it.
We ask NDPC to revamp its website and provide facilities for suggestions and ideas to feed into the plan.

It is unfortunate that such an important agenda is being trivialized and manipulated as a party event. If the government thinks Ghana needs a 40 year development plan, then it is only prudent all eminent persons with the requisite background and from all interested parties be part of this process for all to buy into it. After that this should be voted on by all Ghanaians and included in a document that will be binding to all future governments. All future budgets and borrowing will then have to be tied to this document. May be every government should be forced to devote 70% of the national budget to this and 30% to their manifesto. By so doing we will see a consistent approach to where we collectively as Ghanaians want to be in the future.

Ghana is developing State and faces lots of development challenges which need to be tackled when these occur. Dev. Plan must be well tailord to satisfy the aspiration and perception of all.The distinguished Economic Advisers cannot predict the economy and finantial situtions of the State beyond 10 years. It is not possible for a Developing Country to have 40 year plan.No international Financial institution or funding agency can do so.
