Easier to be a thieving, under-performing politician than to toil lecturing our leaders of tomorrow. We should find a way of stemming this brain-drain from professional to the 'House of Corruption' called Parliament. Let us pay our Parliamentarians their professional salaries and allowances and see how many of them will want to be politicians.

Wow, it is interesting to see how a whole flock of high-level personnel from all over the Country rushing to contest for the NPP Parliamentary Seats in Parliament.
It seems these folks have come to believe that NPP will win the 2016 Elections at all cost and they are all rushing to place their stakes in the fray, envisaging the best opportunity to share in the National cake. Or, should I say, 'share in the loot of State Assets'?
Many of these folks we have never heard of on any platform but are now streaming out of the woodworks to compete for Parliamentary seats.
I wonder if we could expect anything better from them, should they ever win. But they better beware that Ghanaians are exponentially growing incensed over the spate of Corruption sucking every ounce of blood and air out of the Nation. We do not hear many of them offering any opinions on how they would be effecting changes to make the Country better. All they seem to be concerned about is taking the seats in Parliament.
Well, it looks like Mahama's NDC Government has been already counted out of the race. But who can blame these anxious overnight-Politicians our situation has suddenly convulsed to the arena. The incumbent Administration is drowning in its own sh*t-load of Corruption with new scandals popping out almost weekly. It is the turn of BOST, now, to steal the 'limelight of notoriety' as it stands accused of embezzling 10s of Millions of $. What other Institution would be next in claiming the front pages for stealing from us?
Strangely, we hardly hear the President say anything on this spate of Corruption scandals. The President's silence provides a clear space for the widespread belief of his imminent fall along with his Party in 2016.
What the President must be very worried about is the fact that he may be spared from prosecution via the inglorious overreaching immunity clause in our Constitution. But his subordinates are not that immune. And I bet my bottom dollar that a massive proportion of his appointees holding high Offices, now, would face long Jail sentences, should his Party lose the Elections in 2016.
Ghanaians would not be forgiving this time around but excitedly overwhelmingly seek the immediate apprehension and prosecution of these Corruption-infested Officials, should the NDC lose the Elections.
Imagine an immediate Executive Order by the newly elected President to have seized all the Passports of these Officials, leading off a crush pervasive investigation to establish prima facie against them in Corruption allegations. In fact, the Parliament will have to push the Law Enforcement Agencies to stop all these Officials from traveling outside the Country a few weeks to, and after, the Elections. No Government Official would have to travel abroad within that Electioneering Week. Until the Votes are counted and a winner declared. Then the offending Officials would be rounded up like War Criminals.
Long Live Ghana!!!
