Journalists in Africa are very lazy and are only interested in presenting a warped picture of the truth. No wonder they are targeted in conflicts because the protagonists perceive them as agents of the devil.

I was sadend this morning morning (14-April-2015) when I head the newscasters on Adom Fm deliberately misiterpretate a statement made by Mr. Mahama Ayarega regarding the choice between the use of "generators" and paying realistic tariffs on electricity.
The newscasters played Mr. Ayarega's voice which was in the English language. But very strangely, the news reader rendered a translation seeking to mean that Mr. Ayarega was calling on Ghanaians to buy GENERATORS if they really need continous supply of power - a complete misinterpretation of the statement Mr. Ayarega made! This mischief did not end there. The newscasters invited the listening public to comment on the misinterpretated version of the minister's statement. Then BAM, insults from the callers on the minister.
I know that some journalists have had some differences with the minister ever since he told off certain "senior journalists" when they wanted him to render accounts on Radio and he told them plainly that that was not the right thing to do. But little did I think that a newscaster would use such tactics to incite public opinion against the minister.
This is very cheap and shameful, to say the least. Mr. Mahama's statement is therefore a confirmation of the diabolic agenda some journalists are prosecuting against some individuals in society, and this cowardly and shameful behavior must stop forthwith.
