The best brained of a Flagbearer. I was in Ghana in 2012 when all the flagbearers had their two question time interviews with the press.
Even though I voted NPP, I think Dr. Sakara won both. And I still don't know why Prez. Mahama did not include Dr. Sakara in his cabinet like what Prez Kuffour did with Paa Kwesi Nduom, Spio Gabrah, etc. especially to the Agricultural Ministry. He was always to the point to his questions. And I admire his intellect, the scrutiny of his answers and knowing what he was talking about.
I think he could have been the only "team AA" player amongst Mahama's "team BC" players like Fiifi Kwettey, the Agricultural minister.

He was the best, but you did not vote for him. No wonder we are living in darkness. You keep voting for the same non performing parties who give our resources away for free and you expect things to change? As for the separation of Justice from AG, it is a stupid waste of resources. The American join both, why do we think the solution to any problem is in the creation of more useless ministries like Energy and Power, Roads and Transport?

I may agree with Abu Sakara on this point but, from my experience of him, he is not a very truthful person. Simply put he is a consumnate LIAR! Dr Nduom should beware of this poisoned chalice being offered. He is BAD NEWS!

BUT HE SHOULD NOT JOIN PAA KWESI NDOUM IN HIS AMERICAN ORIENTED SOLUTIONS TO GHANA'S PROBLEMS, YOU KNOW GHANIANS AND POLITICS , THE TROUBLE HERE IS THAT THE COUNTRY IS LOOSING SO MUCH MONEY FROM THE ACTIVITIES OF SABOTEURS, WHO BECAUSE OF POLITICAL COLORS ARE WORKING AGAINST THE GOVT. IN FACT I RECOMMEND THAT ACT OF SABOTAGE SHOULD BE PUNISHED BY IMPRISONMENT !! THE AG'S OFFICE CAN NOT BE SEPARATED FROM THE GOVT. IN POWER AT THIS TIME , IT WILL CAUSE DISASTER PERIOD!!

if we really want a good AG then by constitution it should be appointed by the main loosing opposition party to the government in power at a time. There is no so-called independent person in the country as we all vote and have a choice- the so called independent AG might be a sympathizer of the ruling party - be it ndc cpp npp etc so what is the point.lets make it obvious by making the main opposition party choose that person- by this we will really have the check and balance we really need for Ghana- whereby corrupt people are really really dealt with.

Abu Sakara in the all nation got 19,000 votes in the last elections, almost as much as the number of my Facebook friends and in his Costituency just 135 votes. So, now it's better to suggest him to concentrate his action to be CPP representative in a Damango Constituency.

There is no need to create another group/department within the department of Agriculture to emphasize or prioritize expenditures at the department. Most of what experts contribute to the expansion and growth in Ghana's agricultural endeavors are either learned ideas or deductive results of the application of classroom lessons. There is no shortage of fertilizers, soil research and all the soil treatment options and possibilities in the USA but there is one of the greatest projects put together by students, staff and faculty at the University of Minnesota that is worth emulating in Ghana.
The department of agriculture studies and students at U. of M. saw better use of parts of school land other than the shrubbery and flowers bed dotting their campus. They engaged in a mulching exercise by using ordinary everyday kitchen trash and other household waste, dried leaves to create compost that have been used to fertilize and produce needed soil nutrients for a section of school land which is current used for seeding and growth of every type of vegetable that can survive Minnesota weather. It is a communal farm/garden that helps feed students for free. Ghana's so-called experts should put their knowledge to good use in Ghana instead of depending on government for appropriations and expenditures. There are self-help projects that require no money or minimal amount of capital. Start at our secondary, technical and universities levels and in due time it will become a societal norm.
Our so-called experts should lead by example and they may just be surprised by how much citizens love to learn on how to improve production on their farms and gardens and in other areas of society.
