In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”
“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”
He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”
“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”
“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”
The wheelchair-bound Politicians has been called names and criticised by leaders and supporters of the NDC after his bluntness. While Majority Leader Alban Bagbin has said he believed Greenstreet was possessed by some demons, which caused him to be “so emotional”, presidential staffer Sam George wrote on his Facebook wall that: “Ivor Greenstreet apparently needs elevation to see the Better Ghana.”
However, Nkrumah said Greenstreet’s message was crafted by the CPP to capture the mood and mind of the entire country.

Limann and his government told the people of the north they cannot get electricity from Akosombo,the only way they could enjoy electricity was to build a new dam for them but Rawlings changed that and extended electricity to most parts of Brong Ahafo and all corners of Northern Ghana,we know better,this Kweku Baako guy should give us a break.

The facts of the matter is that in Ghana there is trend that any bad thing during Rawlings regime we attribute it to Rawlings but when it comes to the good things that his government did then we are trying to look for other names to attribute that achievement to and this is even among some NDC officials who have benefited a lot from this man but will make it looks like he did nothing in the country.
We all witnessed how so many regions didn't have electricity befor Rawlings came but somebody is trying hard to erase that history just because he didn't want it to look like his regime did something for Ghana.
Why is it that up until today we say Nkrumah did this or that but when it comes to Rawlings the best we can say is PNDC or NDC did that or a minister did that but when it comes to the so called atrocities we say Rawlings did it,does it mean Nkrumah didn't have a government,he was doing everything by himself except the bad one,but with Rawlings he only did bad things?
Let us be honest to ourselves at least once.
Whether Busia plantedt Teak trees or Nkrumah planted them we don't have any record that shows they planted them for Rural Electrification,what we know is that like Self Help Project initiative Rawlings introduced Rural Electrification in Ghana which this NDC government continue doing.
When Kufour came in the Volta region for example communities were asked to pay 2 million cedis to have their names on a map to get electricity which I personally paid for one of the communities before they were listed on the map and those villages that didn't pay didn't have their names on the map which I saw myself when I visited the District Chief Executive in the area at that time but when NDC led by the late President Mills came they got rid of that map and added every single community in those areas and the rest of the country to connect them to the national grid.

If Rawlings regime saw a lot of towns and villages getting electricity, that is because he ruled the country almost half of its independence when he left in January 2001 with little to show for.

Again let me remind you that democracy is not just about going to vote for competing thieves every four years or so to enable them to exploit the labour of the people and the resources of the state. That one is western called democracy.
There are other forms of democracy that are more concerned about more fairly sharing the resources of the state to ensure that real development, which is principally the development of the people, takes place and is made evident. This happened during the Nkrumah era and that is why Ghanaians are distinguished up to now for being so much more intelligent than other Africans.
So please when you talk about the subject of democracy, define the sort of democracy you are talking about. Imperialism has brainwashed many of us through their second-hand educational system to think that there is only one democracy - and that, it is their democracy. They make it seem that there is no other genuine democracy apart from theirs. And that, if your democracy does not subject itself to their whims, caprices and insensitive exploitation, then it is not a democracy. They then set about to undermine you with economic blackmail mechanisms which they call sanctions just to prove that your democracy does not work.

He first extended Akosombo electricity to Tamale in December 14, 1989 and it was thereafter that electricity was extended to other areas.
There is no government in the history of Ghana that did not construct a road, extended electricity to a town or village or did not provide water to a town or village. Rawlings just have a long time to do it and it took him seven years to start doing it so it is disingenuous for you to ask somebody to ask others to provide what somebody did in two and half years when your tin god Rawlings didn't do anything in that breadth of time.

When Rawlings came to power the entire Volta region had no electricity with exception of Keta and few surrounding areas,Aflao/Denu,Ho,Kpando and Hohoe which were using colonial time generators.
Before he came we used to spend two or more days to travel from Kumasi to Tamale sometimes seating in the same truck with cows.
In many parts of the Central region and many other places we used to walk many miles to reach the villages but that ceased to be the case although it is not the best but we don't have to walk many miles from marketing centers to our villages.
May be the so called Busia roads were in your cities but not in the rest of Ghana and most of your rural areas.
Even look at Accra our capital and your own Kumasi.
If you don't know Accra very well ask anybody how the area called Kawukudi which is now a major intersection used to be,ask if there was any road from Kawukudi Jumction through Kanda to Accra,ask how Sankara Circle to 37 and to Accra Central used to be,ask how that road from 37 to Achimota junction was,ask how the road from Accra Central to Tetteh Quarshie was,ask how long it took people to travel from Abeka to Abeka Lapaz and ask how many people were willing to live in Lapaz because of the road,ask if there was any road between Elwak stadium direct to the airport and many others.
When Rawlings came we had only three Polytechnics in Accra,Kumasi and Takoradi but today we have it in all the regional capitals.
What about the Regional Hospitals in Ho,Sunyani,Cape Coast and others were they built by Busia,can you show any single infrastructure in Ghana that was built by Busia,do you know who built the Accra International Conference Center,what about the only National Theatre in the country,built by Busia too,what about UDS,UEW,all built by your Busia?
Even being a Founder of NDC alone which is developing Ghana now is a legacy if you guys think he has no legacy,at least he produced three presidents for Ghana including himself and if we want to face the reality we can say he produced four because before he appointed Kufour as a Secretary/Minister more than 99% of Ghanaians didn't know who he was,that appointment made Kufour popular in the country before he became president and many of your delegates used that to elect him as your presidential candidate which later turned him to a president.
Although he served in the Busia regime as a Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs most Ghanaians never heard of his name up until Rawlings appointed him.
The most important thing NPP brought to Ghana that Ghanaians will always remember them for is the institutionalization of corruption which they supported by saying it exists since the time of Adam.
Some of us can list a lot about Rawlings and his government if we like to promote his achievements,we know Ghana very well and know how it was and how it is today.
