.............It seems the NDC gov't is running against time to send Ghana into the pits and it is extremely worrying, very, very worrying that, such a magnitude of ineptness, incompetence, recklessness and corruption can be brought to bear on our governance structures in such a crass manner. This Fortiz/Merchant bank deal deal from all indications is putrid, it stinks to the high heavens and nothing can justify such an atrocious deal, when Ghanaian taxpayers, from all indications are not getting any VALUE FOR MONEY in this stinking deal. Omane Boamah, MD should seek to explain why an equity firm which cannot even boast of the asset base to even acquire a non-financial banking license, should be made to take on this onerous task of not even a merger, but a full complete acquisition of Merchant bank, when Ghanaian taxpayers, have been offered far, far better VALUE FOR MONEY propositions from identifiable bodies with a portfolio of assets eclipsing over 100 billion dollars? It is indeed mindboggling the level of impunity and recklessness which has been unleashed on the affairs on governance by this NDC gov't. Ghana indeed deserves better than this recklessness which is permeating all facets of governance in this country. It's awfully pathetic.

Nonesense! pure nonesense! Mr Agyarko, what has NDC got to do with your Allan - Nana internal wranglings in your ante akyem tribalistic party? surely you know the problems of your party. Too many too knowns, too many intellectuals all acting as kwaku ananse. how can many captains handle one ship? typical of nap, lets blame every problem on NDC instead of looking at the roots and solving them. Again, whats the message you seek to pass across with this senseless article? simply asking Allan to back down because its Nanas time? Jesus Christ!, Nana is a spent force. He has already had his time - 2 chances. in any case why did you decide to contest in 2007 when you knew it wasn't your time yet? if your tribalistic party sees itself as a democratic force, why would you not let anyone contest Nana Addo but rather push him to go unopposed? Mr Agyarko, you are part of the reason why the NPP is disintegrating. Very soon you will be extinct from the face of this planet and mother Ghana. You have no conscience. You will follow your stomach. As a matter of fact if you were a footballer, you would have been Jordan Ayew. Keep your stinking mouth shut as your silence makes more sense. For your info, that your little girl friend in Legon says your mouth smells. NPP keep fighting and keep blaming NDC for your troubles. we will support you to self destroy. Tell short man Nana addo that ghanaians will reject him 10x if hes presented 10x. fuuuuuuuuls!

Everybody knows whom you are directing your anger/frustration to. But there is no alarm. Please let us stop this it will help the party. If you want Nana just humble yourself rather than to want to destroy another. No matter the things you people say about Alan, there are others in the party who are dying for him. My advice to you is to show respect to everyone. What about Bawumia who also left the country immediately after 2008 election for greener pasture

Mr. Agyarko you know that Nana Addo's candidature is just for his family and friends now including you to use the position to raise money for you guys to squander whiles the party foot soldiers and agents dont even have food to eat on election day let alone be paid their allowance. It happen in 2008 and again in 2012 instead of you coming to tell us what you did with our mandate and resources to justify your retention after you were unable to secure or hold on to the votes we toil to bring in without any resources you are here telling its Nana's time . Nana's time for what ? to abuse the party structures again ? to blow our cash on family and friends? Look there are millions of people in NPP who qualify to lead us to power if every time is for Nana and he keep abusing it without the courtesy to apologize to the rank and file for failing us you have the audacity to tell us every time is for him because the NPP is his inheritance . Wake up and smell the coffee, if He cannot come to the constituencies and render account of his stewardship and how he intends to do differently if given the chance then we will prove to you sycophants that we know what time it is. this is the time of the foot soldiers and the polling station executives and if you think you can stampede us into blind decision then you will have a rude awakening . But why are you people fighting the national executives that we elected to protect our interest? dont you know their actions are our decisions? If you cannot work with them then we cannot vote for a battle field we need to look for those who are willing to work with us. the national executives you see there represents the rank and file think and stop fooling yourself. Some of us at the polling stations are professors, doctors and professionals with more years in grassroots politics than most of you . My advice is that if you think every time is for Nana Addo let him come and justify it, to us. If he cannot come to us and we know thats why he is calling for early congress then he will wake up sooner or later to smell the coffee. the national executives has less than 1% of the votes and we have more than 90% so why have you ignore us and fighting our party leadership, our constitution and bringing our name into disrepute ? A word to the wise is enough, for your information we are the custodians of the NPP as polling station executives we are Not for Nana or Alan we are for NPP. and stop the nonsense about saboteurs we are too mature for that, first the NDC stole your virdict now they are controlling your party leadership and everybody else apart from you who concede the court to them without the party's endorsements did they really compensate you not to pursue a review ? so you see we can all be diabolic with our thoughts if we choose to be. Why is Nana Addo afraid to face the polling station agents ? its true we will demand our polling agents money but, thats only fair, so i suggest you carry your bag of money and follow him when he is coming to our various constituencies.because we did our part, we submitted the pink sheets to him we deserve our money? AFFOKO IS OUR CHAIRMAN AND LEADER AND THE CONSTITUTION ENJOINS YOU TO ABIDE BY THE DECISIONS HE LEADS THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVES TO MAKE. Give us a break otherwise we shall not hesitate to take a break from your inability, disappointments and failures

And hear Boakye bragging about not return to the comfort of where? He should tell us how much he got from campaign money and should go and pay the polling agents their money due them on elections day December 2012.Each has his own time and these Nana Addo and his people should know their time is up. Even Nana Addo is sick. Haw anyone seen him of late?

You see Agarko 'headed' a hole division which comprised of no more than five reporting charges! And I would like h to come and dispute this fact. You see,he jumped before being pushed in an organization that was going through a massive restucturing exercise. the Bank of NY was relocating many of its 'nodes' to upstate NY,and his division was not part of the future plans of the bank.
Contrary to all the 'hotair' that has been floated around him about leaving a lucrative banking position on Wall Street,he was going to be forced to abandon his signature bow-tie,and perhaps, join the ranks of the 'walatu-walasa'. He left his familiar base in Jersey City, and headed to Ghana with a one-way ticket,so what was he going to return to anyway?
I get riled up,when I hear many of these hitherto 'nobodys' making all these kinds of 'ugly noises' in the media; forgetting about the one person
who provided them with all manner of sinecures and favours, which made their transition to Ghana very smooth and comfortable! And what did they do to the meagure resources of the country? They went after this nations resources as though they were fighting over the proverbial "3brato", virtually cleaning out our national treasury as if there was not going to be a tomorrow. At the end ot their mandate, they had to auction off some key national assets, and vitually give away others, like our oil resources for pittance.
Sadly, this is precisely what some in the present administration are bent on doing with some of the very questionable and untenable decisions they have taken,in light of the serious economic difficlties we face as a country!

The analysis by this leading member of the NPP and one-time presidential aspirant is pathetic. It appears he is a politician who does not understand politics, let alone Ghanaian politics.
First, he compared the 1968 Busia's leadership of the Progress Party to the current NPP presidential primary contest. There is no doubt that in those days Busia was seen as party leader from day one. Again, Busia won the elections because there was no real opposition. The most vibrant national political party, the CPP were banned from taking part in the general elections therefore the PP and Busia had a free run. That is not the situation in Ghana today.
Again, to suggest that one candidate should go unopposed by the very party that claims to be the mother democracy in Ghana is defeatist. Why is NPP running away from it's cardinal principle?
"It cannot and must not be about a Boakye Agyarko or any other person for that matter, with an inordinate and unbridled ambition seeking to be President. Rather, it is about how the NPP collectively wins power in order to provide quality leadership for the people of Ghana".
Is the above quote from the article not contradictory? If the author is insinuating that Alan Kyeremanteng's desire to contest the flagbearership is about himself and not NPP, is it not equally true that a third attempt by Nana Akufo-Addo is also all about himself and not in the interest of NPP?
This article in fact, does not do any good to the internal conflict within NPP but rather adds fuel to it with its contradictions, insinuation, open support for one side and hostility against the other and wrong comparison and analysis. It would have been better if he had not written it.

As a chief lieutenant in Nana Akuffo Addo's private army it stands to reason that Mr Agyarko will occupy a prominent position and carve up an enormous power fiefdom in an Akuffo Addo government. And as a matter of fact he sees himself as heir apparent. That is the sole motivation for his piece.
To say Akuffo Addo's time has come is a silly statement indeed and even sillier to suggest that Victor Owusu deferred to Busia so no one should stand in Nana's way. I do not recall Busia setting his henchmen to brutalize the supporters of other aspirants in the party. The fact remains that Nana and his uncompromising and sycophantic fan club cannot even accept the principle of democracy within the NPP. It has to be him or no one else. Any yet his credentials, if one can call them that at all, does not portray him to be a leader befitting our Nation. On the contrary, Agyarko and his fellow journeymen should accept, that Nana Akuffo Addo had failed on two occasions to be elected President, his spurious Supreme Court petition failed in its bid to set aside the 4 million votes that he wanted annulled.
The desperation, egotistic and pompous pretentions can be displayed in his Nima Palace and nowhere else and Agarko and Co can continue calling him His Excellency.

Agarko can only BS the guillible bunch in the Ghanaian press, who treated him like 'royalty' on his return to Ghana, courtesy of Fmr. Pres Kufour, from that 'desk job' he held at the Bank of NY. I really cannot understand why certain individuals, with checkered past, choose to put themselves in the public spotlight.
Some of us know all about some of these 'political wannabes' who moonlighted as cab drivers, lived in public housing, but were turned into instant ' political superstars' by Mr. Kuffour. you hear them bragging constantly on our airwaves;making all maner of outrageous claims, that have no foundation!
I suppose they too are no suffering like the ordinary folks, having been put in the 'political wilderness' by the good people of this country for eight continuous years. Boakye Agarko and his ilk should come to terms with their situation and spare us all the hogwash!

We heard the same story in 2007, 2012 and in 2014 it is the same story. Get off and let some new faces try. Boakye Agyarko and his henchmen misused the monies meant for both campaigns. Their ma lost and now they want the same opportunity to enrich themselves. Ain't gonna happen. Go back to New York if you must; no one invited you to Ghana.

The Elders of NPP are those who are causing the Party to loose the past 3 Presidential Elections to NDC. There is one big lesson that any Astute Marketing Expert learns. That is, in marketing, you must give what the customer is demanding or wants. If the customer wants to buy item A and you produce item B with all the latest technology in the world, they will still insist on getting A and not B. The result is, the manufacturer of item B will soon go out of business. (unless of course he makes necessary changes to also start to produce item A). Likewise, selecting a Presidential candidate is like producing a good to sell to your customers, this time, however your customers are the voting population of Ghana. The NPP Elders seem to get bugged down with this seniority stuff so much so that they forget about the most important aspect of the whole presidential election. What needs to be done is a poll to see who amongst the NPP candidates is most likely to win the 2016 election according to this nationwide poll. The candidate who comes up on top should be the one the party should select. Do not give the Ghanaian voting populace item B when what we really what is item A. Use this time to do this polling exercise so you can find your item A for Ghanaians and not item B for NPP Elders. If you make another mistake and pick item B this time, remember you will see another 12 more years of NDC reign. The word to the wise as they say is.....

To sum up, Please let the selection of the NPP Presidential Candidate be demand-driven. That is, first find out who the Ghanaian voters want from NPP (through the polling) and then you work your way backwards to select this person during your NC Congress. What you are practicing now is "produce the candidate during the NC Congress and the people will vote for him". This "produce and the will come" approach does not work in this day and age.
