Why do think political parties do not understand this? The President of the Republc says he will accept verdict. The Petitioner says same. What else do you want to hear. Has any one heard that one side is determined not to accept verdict? And those lecturing the judges, please allow them to focus on their work. Ghana cannot mpove back, not even if a few misguided elements may wish it. The Lord God, Almighty, Allah, has our back, can't you feel it!

Whatever the outcome of the electoral petition in the supreme court, politics will never be the same in Ghana, for many, many years. The petition has polarised the country's politics to the extent, hitherto, unimaginable. Whichever way the supreme court decision goes, Ghana judicial system will be badly tainted. The best decision maybe a RE-RUN OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION alone, if the alleged irregularities in the last year's elections are proved genuine! And even this will have its own problems to be resolved. For me, the petition has paved way for agitations in subsequent general elections, which, in effect, can bog down the courts, not to mention, the smooth working of the elected government. Reprisals will follow reprisals and, Ghana's democracy and institutions will be overheated and, finally, burst along the seams! The sad thing is that it draws back Ghana's progress as a nation.

The IEA should have advised the NPP to withdraw the petition from the supreme court. The petition has compromised peace and unity in the country and the petitioners must bear the blame. The millions who voted for Mahama have the right to reject any court decision that negates their democratic rights.I find it hard to accept that a 9 member supreme court has the right to overturn the votes of millions of ghanaians who voted for Mahama.Let us hope that for the love of the nation ghanaians will accept the decison of the supreme court.I will keep saying that the interest of the nation overrides the ambitions of individual politicians. The nation is far bigger and important than any individual ghanaian.Ghana is bigger and more important than both Mahama and Akuffo-Addo.
