Mr Asiedu Nketsia, General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured party supporters to remain calm as they await the final results of the elections.

Mr Nketsia gave the assurance when he addressed the press upon his return from the tour of the Brong Ahafo, Western and the Ashanti Regions.

He expressed happiness with the peaceful nature of the process which started on Friday December 7.

He said the verification process of the electorate had created much more confidence in the country’s electoral processes which was a sign of improvement in the democratic credentials of the country.

Mr Nketsia said the party has already won 150 parliamentary seats thus far, out of the 275 seats in parliament and more are yet to be confirmed.

He commended the EC for the smooth conduct of the election and urged Ghanaians to live in unity saying there was no tension in Ghana as claimed by some people and that Ghana would remain in one peace.
