There is a very very poor clinical care services in northern region,possibly due to a huge human resource gab in terms mixed,technical and skilled support staff.Most health centres by name and not even qualified to be a standard CHPS compound.How can a facility be termed health center with 3 or 7 staff to perform the task of a subdistrict(clinical care and preventive care? Inadequate infrastructure,No basic laboratory facility,inadequate equipment,and a very sizable population with disease burden.How can one talk about newborns care,maternal health,skilled and safe deliveries without a fairly resourced health centers that are the nearest federal points? It is better and cost effective to resource existing health centres before rushing with CHPS compounds,most of which in the northern region are manned by goats and sheep as there are no train personnel to man them. what shall we a chief if our rural folk,especially mothers and newbornes wasting time at CHIP compounds with no technical and clinical expertise,health centres without the minimum expertise in the name of fake accessibility of basic health care services?Accessible quality health care is denied of our rural folk that tilt the land to feed Ghana.
