For me, a stroke sufferer, it only goes to reinforce the numerals information I have gathered about the dangerous effects of sugar since I was struck down by a stroke in 2014. From what I have learnt so far, it seems sugar is a real poison, and the real culprit for the numerous diseases that afflict the modern world. In fact, I would add also that most refined and canned foods are not good for our health.
Still on sugar, I quit taking sugar after reading volumes upon volumes of info about its bad effects. What I use now is STEVIA, which they say is about 99% safe. STEVIA has no calories and is the best substitute for sugar, on top of all other substitutes for sweetness. Even with stevia one has to be careful and look for the natural one, no refinements whatsoever.
