I don't see a high tone in what the medical educators are saying. They are rather giving good advice. When mention is made of dry bones, old people feel uneasy.

IS IT WORTH DYING FOR GHANA AS A PROFESSIONAL PERSON? HELL NOT!!!
I'M AFRAID NOT, JUDGING FROM HOW SADLY GHANA'S SUCCESSIVE LEADERS ARE RUNNING DOWN NKRUMAH'S GHANA!!
IN A CRIME-RIDDLED COUNTRY WHERE PROVIDING AFFORDABLE 24/7 ELECTRICITY AND POTABLE WATER SUPPLY, OR TURNING ON ALL STREET LIGHTS AT NIGHT ARE CONSIDERED LUXURIES, IS IT WORTH STAYING IN THAT COUNTRY?
IN A COUNTRY WHERE THE LEADERS DO NOT SERVE, BUT EXPECT TO BE SERVED, IS IT WORTH WASTING YOUR TIME IN THAT HOPELESS COUNTRY?
IN A COUNTRY WHERE MEDICAL DOCTORS WORK WITHOUT DECENT SALARIES, DECENT CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND AFFORDABLE LIVING CONDITIONS, IS IT WORTH WASTING YOUR PROFESSIONAL WORKING LIFE IN THAT COUNTRY?
NO WONDER MOST AMBIITIOUS AND SUCCESSFUL PROFESSIONALS, INCLUDING FOOTBALLERS, LIVE AND WORK ABROAD!!
I WAS IN GHANA A FEW YEARS BACK WHEN THERE WAS "DUMSOR". SUDDENLY THE LIGHTS CAME ON, AND I HEARD PEOPLE CLAPPING THEIR HANDS IN JUBILATION SIMPLY BECAUSE THE LIGHTS HAD BEEN TURNED ON.
I ASKED SOMEONE WHY THE JUBILATION, AND HE SAID THE LIGHTS WERE BACK ON.
AND THIS WAS ALL HAPPENING IN THIS 20TH CENTURY!! AMAZING!!!
MEANWHILE, PEOPLE WILL WORK HARD, THEN WHEN THE MONEY COMES IN, THE POLITICIANS LOOT IT IN A PLETHORA OF ALLOWANCES, FRAUDULENT JUDGMENT DEBTS PAYMENTS AND PAYMENTS TO ARTICLE NONSENSE OFFICE HOLDERS.
NKRUMAH WOULD BE WEEPING IN HIS GRAVE!!!
WHAT A COUNTRY!!

The problem in Ghana now is a matter of Demand and Supply. This has brought about this class struggle. Everybody has the idea that, he or she is indispensable especially, according to the services he or she provides. The police, no way, the soldier hei, the politician- don't play with me, the lawyer, the highest bidder wins case, the headmaster, you are suspended and so on goes the game.......
The poor farmer who is most likely to seek the services of the doctor or most of the above mentioned is the one who is silently looking on, yet wait, the day that he or she the tiller of the land and the provider of all the basic body building materials will say enough is enough and we are embarking a year or season long strike is the day we will confirm who is really indispensable and yet taken for granted. Kwame Nkrumah was the only leader who would have made supply in all professions greater than demand; an antidote of the class struggle.
They keep talking about stopping corruption by mere brute force or intimidation, scape goating and witch hunting. It makes me laugh for it would never work in Ghana or Nigeria. Why? Because Osagyefo says the only way corruption can be eliminated is by creating a strong public awareness of the effects of corruption for the citizens to consciously accept its negative effects on freedom and justice. Yet, our so called midget politicians will not listen to the seer and master.

my daughter is 18 and starting her medical studies in September and do you know why ? She loves becoming a doctor and has been putting plasters on the whole family when she was a child, after that diagnosing the whole family on the internet, changing bandages on all our pets, just because she wanted to be a doctor.
In Ghana its not like that, we tent to follow the Americans where every doctor wants to make good money.
Pls doctors, follow your hand and love for patients, a real doctor who has the knowledge to cure people can't behave like you have done the last few weeks, I agree 100% with this doctors statement.
