Never rent a room for a woman in Ghana if you live over-sea. She will bring another guy to have anal sex in the room you pain for and call you a moron or idiot. Ghanaian men in Europe and America should use their common sense and not their heart when dating a Ghanaian woman.

Prof. Sai is correct. Simple actions can be taken in Ghana and in all countries to improve maternal health outcomes. As health professionals and human beings, we want positive outcomes, that is, women and babies that survive and live healthy and productive lives. It all starts with a healthy well-nourished woman that is old-enough and mature enough to bear a child; an also mature and responsible man that wants to have a child; and a health facility that helps them time the pregnancy, has an effective maternal health program and is capable of delivering quality antenatal, delivery and post-natal services. Each country must take a look at each primary health care facility and ensure every health center can meet quality service delivery standards. I am certain that every country can improve and bring up to par at least 10% or more of their facilities every year. If so, in 10 years, they will have eliminated preventable and treatable pregnancy and neonatal related deaths. It is that simple. Not easy but simple.

At this time and age, no woman should be allowed to die needlessly. Fortunately, most of such deaths are preventable. In most countries we often compare ourselves with have Maternal mortality less than 10/100,000 live births. We are not less human and what this man has said should be taken seriously. When and how can we deal with the unfortunate myths and misconceptions about FP? Currently, children under 16 years are having sex, getting pregnant and having unsafe methods of terminating such unwanted pregnancies. Safe abortion remains inaccessible due to stigma and to lack of knowledge of the law and of the problem of unsafe abortion among law enforcement and health care personnel. Cultural, religious and traditional stigma against abortion is prevalent in Ghana. Abortion stigmatization permeates officialdom and has been a silent and ignored contributor to maternal mortality in Ghana. Because of stigma, women are reluctant to seek abortion services at public health care facilities and many abortions go unreported.
To further reduce ignorance of the law and stigma, the Government of Ghana needs to undertake advocacy activities targeted at law enforcement and health care personnel. Thank you Prof. "Not easy but simple."
