The current practice where newly inducted doctors called house officers with no experience whatsoever are left to experiment with (attend to) serious medical cases while residents, specialists and consultants are away must be put to a stop immediately. There must be at least one specialist present 24 hours in three shift rotations to supervise them. Our health system as it is presently is not the best. The situation in the countryside and rural communities is even worse.

We should give people good education on health with the help of giving everybody good water to drink. 90% of people who use the service is because of water. Water born diseases is ghanaians problem not NHIS. Open gutters, farming in towns and lack of drainage.
If any govt can get all ghanaians good drinking water and good drains, 60% of people wouldnt use the service.
You cant talk about health in ghana without water for everybody to use.
Dr Mahama is talking about treatment forgetting the causes. Why should we have malaria in a place like Accra, our national capital. We have malaria because of water that we use and waste.

Fifty seven years after independence we still live in filth and drink water from guinea worm infested river with animals.The arabs also have oil but they live in paradise. The arabs in charge of the government are accountable to the public.
