  Only six doctors serving a population of a million individuals is vary saddening. There should be a program that promotes the inculcation of volunteerism in the Ghanaian youth. Beginning from high school (junior High inclusive), students should be given the opportunity to participate in volunteering programs that exposes them to the workforce and the reality of conditions. Even though it is not a promise of radical change, this will have a tremendous effect on the upcoming future generation. An engaged individual holds a promise of difference, and that is what we have been looking for. The contents sounds removed from the article, but if Doctors found some familiarity in the remote areas, if they realized their engagement in such charity would propel their success and those of the upcoming generation I see no reason some won't invest their time, when implored to. After all, we owe our knowledge to our land (our world, our universe).
