Almost 70 years after independence this sorry state of affairs is still going on. I still miss Salifu Amankwa. Ghana and Malaysia gained independence in 1957. At that time, Ghana's GDP was higher than that of Malaysia. Today Malaysia is well ahead of Ghana. This is due to bad leadership. Any serious government can solve the problem of open defecation during one term, if they see this problem as a priority.
