It is pathetic and inward looking for you to be using inter-tribal marriages as a means of insulting a whole tribe.
I'm among the Ghanaians with the darkest skin who have lived in the UK for over 30 years. But believe it or not, I do not grudge the whites among whom I live for their colour.
Firstly even if I don't like the colour of my skin or any physical appearance there is little I can do about it. But more importantly I have come to admire the darker skin after living among those with fairer skins. Unlike you I do not boast about my colour because at the end of the day it is your contribution to life that matters and not the colour of your skin. In fact I thank God for giving me the colour I have and, like Dr Aggrey of blessed memory, pray to God to make me even darker if I have the chance to come back to this world. In fact I see it as a sign of inward thinking, insecurity and proof of incomplete education for someone to base any argument on the colour of one's skin.
I can't remember the number of times that whites - and I mean pure or so called blue blooded whites - have tried to get a 'tan' or darker. So is your argument not a sign of the untravelled, ignorant fool? Do you know the amount of money and time that the whites spend to try and get darker or a tan?
I seriously pity ignorant people like you, Gaskiya. If you don't believe what I'm saying get yourself a visa (that is if you will be lucky to be given one) and come here or anywhere with fair-coloured people or whites during the summer and go to any beach to see the money and time that goes into people trying to get a tan.
If you are boasting for being fairer is it surprising that people with fairer skins come to Ghana and look down on us? We look down on ourselves because we have darker skin and don't know how lucky we are - ignorant fool.
