IGp should not waste his time promoting the officers who did the arrest. That's the work they were employed to do. People killed armed robbers and were not promoted. Some did commendable deeds but were not promoted but some people arrested common rice and were promoted and upon that they no more respect their seniors because of the bogus and bought promotion. These kind of bogus promotions are creating antagonism between the officers. How can you promote some spirited lazy officers who once a while had information through some informant, acted upon it and when the suspects offered the bribe dividedly rejected it and you wanted all of them to be promoted. I don't want to talk too much but igp don't do that mistake. Before man and God it's not all of them that deserved the promotion if it must be considered at all.if you should asked me what you should do then, I will recommend you do personal investigation. We at the headquarters here do such arrests most often but do we get promotions? No. Commend them. If you promote them you have to promote all of us who also have rejected bribes and arrested the offenders at all cost too. #thisfavouritismmuststop#
