Is there any law against indiscriminate littering in Ghana? I think the Magistrate should have advised the culprit after he was made to collect all the rubbish around the court house but detaining him for 4 hours in addition is too much. As he cited Singapore as an example, he went too far. But if that will scare people to stop the bad behavior of indiscriminate littering, why not? Who does not like to live in a clean environment?

That should teach him a useful lesson. We should have more such instant judgements instead of those unproductive long drawn out judicial/ court processes.
