Canon balls were fired by canons in or around the 14th century. Canons are the heavy artillery mounted on the observation posts on the Cape Coast, Christiansborg and Elmina Castles.
If maybe Im making 'too known' and what those land-guards had in their possession are actually real-live canon balls, what the hell do they fire them with? Wonders never end here in this country!

Why can't they embark on similar operations to rid the illigal chinese involve 'galamsay actitivies and causing catastrophic environmental damage, depriving hundreds if not thousands of poor farmers and whole communities of their livelihood? No, they are protecting developers, the rich and the famous.
