If I were this guy, I would have pled guilty and stated that I was overwhelmed by an overbearing anger after the tantrums from the NPP person. And then his lawyers would have pleaded on his behalf, and I think he would have been set free after signing a bond to exhibit good behavior for a period of time. Political figures like the late Sir John have said similar things but been set free after an intervention from their lawyers.
As he goes on trial his case is going to get murky and if he’s not lucky he may not see the voting day as a free man.
Any accused who doesn’t waste the court’s time on the first appearance always receives leniency from the courts. I’m not sure why his counsel chose to contest a case that comes with a video as a clear prosecution exhibit. Which judge will let him go free after watching his heinous threats ?
