2A Multimedia Bags ?56m For Stars

NEARLY SIXTY million cedis have been realised for Ghana?s Black Stars, ahead of their World Cup tourney appearance, in June 2006.

2A Multimedia, a communication company, as part of its fund-raising campaign for the Stars, has realised ?56 million. The amount was realised from contributions of ?5,000, deducted through soccer fans? text messages.

The communication firm, it would be recalled, entreated mobile phone users to send text messages on any issue, or a simple ?shine?, from their various networks, to areeba number 1477, buzz 5000, kasapa 1800 and for onetouch network users, through 1950, at the cost of ?5000. At the end of every week, till the grand draw in June this year, where the winner would drive home a C-Class MG Rover, 11 winners would be given prizes, such as stand fans, DVD players, Designer cloths, Television sets, Camera Mobile phones, hampers, and a KLM air ticket to Germany, from sponsors of the campaigns.

Last Friday, January 27, the owner of buzz phone number 0277430052 won the third ?Shine Star Shine? draw, to take home a KLM Royal Dutch air line Ticket to Germany. Ten other winners received consolation prizes.Canon Producer Committed To Sports Promotions
