Boakye extends contract

Isaac Boakye has extended his contract with German side Arminia Bielefeld until June 2008.

Persistent knee injuries have limited Boakye to just four appearances this season but that did not prevent the club from offering him a new deal.

The 23-year-old endeared himself to Bielefeld's supporters by scoring the decisive goal in this season's German Cup quarter-final win over Hansa Rostock. Bielefeld won 1-0.
