Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso trained for the first time with his Las Palmas teammates on Tuesday following his return from the international break.
The 25-year-old was full of smiles as he went through the paces in the morning session held in Barranco Seco.
Wakaso is just coming off a successful stint with the Black Stars where his last minute free kick clinched all three points for Ghana in the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda last Saturday.
He joined up with the Black Stars camp in Brazzaville immediately after completing his loan switch to Las Palmas from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
Wakaso was thus training for the first time under the watchful eye of his new manager Paco Herrera for the first time on Tuesday morning.
The squad were given the rest of the day off and will resume training on Wednesday morning where the team will be doing double sessions to prepare themselves for the weekend’s trip to Celta de Vigo.
This puts the Ghanaian right in the mix towards making his Las Palmas debut on Saturday.
The ex Espanyol man is hoping to turn his club career around with his loan move to the Yellows.
Wakaso has however strangely managed to keep his impressive form with the national team despite his lack of game at club level.
