Christian Atsu’s injury fears have been allayed with news he will be out for just ten days.
The Ghana winger suffered an ankle injury during in FC Porto’s 1-1 draw with Maritimo last Sunday.
The injury saw the 21-year-old pull out of the Ghana squad that will face Sudan in the crucial 2014 World cup qualifier on Sunday.
Atsu is however relieved the injury is not as serious as initially feared as doctors have told him he will be fully fit within ten days after further assessment of the injury.
“The Porto doctors have looked at the injury and they’ve told me I’ll be okay after ten day,” he told Accra-based Peace FM.
The news will also boost the Black Stars as the talented winger will not remain on the sidelines for long.
