Ghana meet Sudan in Kumasi

The Black Stars will play host to Sudan in next month 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Ghana last met Sudan in Kumasi on the road to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier – a game which ended in a 0-0 scoreline.

The Black Stars did not allow a floodlight failure at the same venue in Kumasi to derail them as they opened their Fifa World Cup qualifying Group D campaign with a 7-0 rout of Lesotho in June 2012.

Reports from the corridors of the Ghana FA has it that head coach Kwesi Appiah has to prove he can qualify Ghana to Brazil 2014 or lose his job.

Ghana are second in Group D, three points behind leaders Zambia and need a win to revive their campaign.
