Richard Kingston on Kotoko radar

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Black Stars goalkeeper Joseph Carr has resigned as the goalkeeper's trainer of the Porcupine Warriors.

Goal.com Ghana can reveal that the former Black Stars No. 1 tended in his resignation letter as the goalkeeper’s trainer of the Kumasi-based club on Monday though the club was not all that pleased with it.

Carr cited family issues as his reasons for quitting the job and he is believed to be heading to the Western region to be with his family.

Names such as former Black Stars keeper Richard Kingson, Anthony Osei-Kwadwo of the 1992 Black Meteors and Kumasi Asante Kotoko fame as well as Ben Owu have cropped up as possible replacement.

The former national star who featured for the Black Stars from 1978 to 1984 has been the goalkeeper’s trainer of Kotoko for over three seasons now.
