He dominated all three rounds winning 6-4, 7-6 and 5-4.

Micah is the first Ghanian to record a victory after boxer, Isaac Dogbe and Judoka, Emmanuel Nartey were beaten in their respective fights.

Micah admitted after the victory that, Maxwell Amponsah who withdrew from the Olympics on Saturday as a result of a jaw injury played a huge role in his victory.

“While I was fighting, I heard him shouting and encouraging me to go all out.

“He really inspired because I felt after he pulled out of the games, I needed to win to make him happy,” Micah told XYZ sports.

His next fight is on Friday against Conlan Micahel from Ireland at London’s ExCel Arena.
