Milan's Muntari out for six months

Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari will be out of action for the next six months after undergoing surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

The Ghana international went under the knife today at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan, announced the Rossoneri website.

Muntari “underwent surgery for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

“The recovery time is around five to six months, excluding complications.”

The midfielder had arrived on loan from Inter in January and made a good impression on the other side of the San Siro divide, scoring three goals in 13 Serie A games.
