Rahim praises Andre for winning SWAG award

Ghanaian international Rahim Ayew has praised his younger brother Dede Ayew after he was decorated as footballer of the year by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) at the State Banquet Hall on Saturday.

Rahim who received the SWAG’s club of the year award on behalf of Nania FC at the venue noted that Andre’s exceptional performances in 2011 put him ahead of his rivals for the award.

“My brother was exceptional in the year under review and so he deserves it more than Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Harrison Afful”.

Andre Ayew however lost out on the coveted award Sports Personality of the year, with the award going to Paralympian Ajara Mohammed.
