SWAG Sports Personality of the Year to take home fully installed DSTV

Multi-Choice Ghana Limited, operators of Digital Satellite Television (DSTV), one of the sponsors of the 37th MTN-SWAG Awards Night has donated a six-month fully installed DSTV for the top most award winner; the 'SWAG Sports Personality of the Year'.

Multi-Choice Ghana Limited, on Tuesday made the presentation of the package together with GH¢2,000 towards the organization of the event as well as two DSTV Walkers for other award winners.

Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, General Manager of DSTV said the gesture is part of their efforts to reach out to society and also be part of the event that is aimed at honouring distinguished sports men and women in the country.

He said DSTV has plans of extending its frontiers to cover other areas to make their presence in Ghana a stronger one.

Ackah Anthony, President of SWAG, expressed appreciation to the company for their gesture.

He said the Association will strive to maintain high standards set for the event and pledged that the 37th Edition will be one of the memorable events in the history of SWAG.

The 37th MTN-SWAG Awards Night is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra.

Over 25 sports men and women drawn from several sporting disciplines will on the Night receive trophies, medals and certificates among others for their efforts in the year 2011. The SWAG Awards Night is the longest running sports event in the country.**
