Liberty quality thrills Sarpong

Liberty Professional’s coach J.E Sarpong is pleased with the depth of squad at his disposal after they beat Accra Hearts of Oak 2-0 on Sunday.

The Dansoman side returned to winning ways after their midweek loss to Mighty Jets by claiming the scalp of Hearts of Oak.

It was a victory that denied the Phobians the chance to draw level with Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the top of the Glo League standings but one which allowed Liberty to stay in tune with the chasing pack.

They are now two points off Hearts of Oak and five behind leaders Asante Kotoko.

And Sarpong believes his side will catch up eventually. "When you have quality players you always win. I made many changes from the side that lost to Jets and yet we were in complete control because we retained the ball well."
