Goran Stevanovic denies having a fall out with Kevin Prince Boateng

Head Coach of the Black Stars, Goran Stevanovic has told JOY Sports there is no existing friction between him and AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng.

Earlier media reports suggested the Prince Boateng had a fall out with the Serbian trainer leading to his exclusion from the initial 21-man squad listed for the Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland and the friendly international against Brazil.

Speaking to JOY Sports Tony Bebli, Coach Stevanovic said, “I don’t have a problem with Kevin. Kevin is a fantastic guy, a good player and I am sure we will solve the situation.”

Prince Boateng played a key role in Ghana’s success at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and his impressive display later secured him a move to the Italian Serie A side AC Milan. The 24-year-old unavailability for recent national team assignments has put his loyalty in doubt.

Kevin Prince Boateng has played only two matches for the Black Stars since the mundial and has been accused of wanting to play in only high-profile matches.
