Floriana iron out differences with goalie Amamoo

Floriana FC and goalkeeper William Amamoo, of Ghana, have ironed out their differences, even if the player remains suspended for the time being.

Three days ago the club had informed the MFA that it had suspended the goalkeeper for 28 days after he refused to play in last Tuesday’s Super Cup match against Valletta FC.

According to a report in the website www.replayonline.tv, the goalkeeper had a positive meeting with club president Johann Said during which the air was cleared for the benefit of the two sides. However, his suspension is still valid unless a decision is taken by the committee to reduce it in the next few days.

The report also claimed that a Floriana FC committee is now being held tomorrow.

The website also said that Said confirmed that there was a certain amount of interest in the player from a top European club, but also said there had been no offer yet from the club, possibly Galatasaray of Turkey.
